Telecom Nt –Monitoring and Tracing

Telecom Nt - Network Monitoring & Tracing Capability of CT-NPRIs GIS solution has the ability to monitor any kind of Active elements in network.

Inspiration:

This Module is an innovative solution development to address the major and critical problem being faced by any Network Operations Center Users which implies the proportionate impact on network restoration time. Due to Multiple NMS applications/systems to monitor multiple vendor and multiple domain network elements the NOC is taking high time to engage field crew in restoration process. Also, there are time where NOC is missing out alerting the field crew about some warning alarms which may cause huge impact to network in near future if left unattended.

Network Monitoring and Tracing – Point summary

  1. Records network elements information (manually or bulk import) including grouping it via the hierarchy
  2. Monitor multiple-element management systems & network management systems independent to any specific vendor/technology/domain within a single application
  3. Accessible Anytime, Anywhere and from any device, whether desktop, laptop, tablet or the mobile phone itself
  4. Historian of all events/alarms/notifications that occur in the network on real-time basis
  5. Provide the hindsight perspective of the services configured in any network element for trends in performance of the network
  6. Future proof to add in new technology and additional custom information
  7. Supports auto-discovery of network elements state, parameters, health, and many more…
  8. Supports service assurance for network-based services such as SNMP/CORBA/TL1/CLI etc.,
  9. Supports a variety of technologies ranging from complex mail transport and page sequence monitoring features to the common technologies including TCP port checks and ICMP pings.

Network Monitoring – Current Challenges

  1. Dependency on Vendor (OEM) specific EMS/NMS for accessing respective Network Elements
  2. Resources to be trained on diverse systems for vendor specific applications to monitor/provision/trouble shoot/upgrade activities on NE’s.
  3. Multi window access at the same time for monitoring alarms/events/outages
  4. Integration problems to Multiple EMS/NMS systems
  5. Database Incompatibility
  6. Chance of Missing out critical alarms for timely escalation due to multiple NMS Screens
  7. Reports are not configurable as per user requirement
  8. Incompatible for next generation systems (SDN/NFV, Open RAN)
  9. Complex and dependent on proprietary product life cycles (EOL/EOS)

Network Monitoring – Proposed Solution:

  1. Vendor (OEM) agnostic tool to monitor multiple EMS/NMS in single window
  2. Optimal Utilization of Resources by adopting standard procedures through single application to monitor /provision/trouble shoot/upgrade activities on NE’s.
  3. Single window access for Multiple capabilities like Monitoring/reporting/Ticketing
  4. Adopts Opens standards for seamless integration of multiple systems
  5. Compatible to read/write/auto discover data from/to diverse system environments
  6. Minimizing the escalation time and ensuring better network uptime
  7. Reports are configurable as per user requirement
  8. Adept for Next generation network monitoring
  9. Scalable, Configurable & user-friendly tool with future ready features
